Second cancers among 40,576 testicular cancer patients: focus on long-term survivors
Phase observationalN = 40,576
- Population
- One-year survivors of testicular cancer in 14 population-based registries (2,285 second solid cancers)
- Design
- Pooled registry cohort of 1-year survivors of testicular cancer diagnosed 1943 to 2001 in 14 population-based registries in Europe and North America. Poisson regression modelled relative risks and excess absolute risks of second solid cancers.
- Arms
- General population (control): General-population reference rates (not a study arm)
- Seminoma at age 35 (experimental): Men diagnosed with seminoma at age 35 years
- Non-seminoma at age 35 (experimental): Men diagnosed with a nonseminomatous tumour at age 35 years

The 23% for the general population is a reference rate, not a trial arm. |
