N = 58

Population

Design
Dose-escalating pilot study of STI571 given orally at daily doses of 300 to 1000 mg.
Arms
  • STI571 (dose escalation) (experimental, n = 58): STI571 orally, 300 to 1000 mg per day

Hematologic responseMyeloid blast crisis phenotype (38 patients)Response as reported in the abstract; the response criteria are not stated thereprimaryDruker 200155%—21 of 38 patients responded; 4 of the 21 had a complete hematologic response.
