Cumulative burden of morbidity among testicular cancer survivors after standard cisplatin-based chemotherapy: a multi-institutional study

Phase observationalN = 1,214

Population
Men treated with first-line cisplatin-based chemotherapy for testicular cancer, at least 1 year after treatment
Design
Multicentre study of men aged 55 years or younger at diagnosis who had finished first-line chemotherapy at least 1 year earlier, completed a comprehensive questionnaire and had a physical examination. Treatment data came from medical records. A cumulative burden of morbidity score counted the number and severity of adverse health outcomes; ordinal logistic regression assessed exposures; factor analysis grouped co-occurring outcomes.
Arms
  • Participants (experimental, n = 1,214): Standard first-line cisplatin-based chemotherapy (the abstract names BEP and IEP, with differing cycle numbers)
