Hematologic and cytogenetic responses to imatinib mesylate in chronic myelogenous leukemia

Needs review

Phase 2N = 532

Population
Late chronic-phase CML in which previous therapy with interferon alfa had failed
Design
Single-arm study of oral imatinib 400 mg daily; 532 patients were evaluated for cytogenetic and hematologic responses, time to progression, survival and toxic effects. Phase 2 per PubMed publication type; the abstract does not give the phase.
Arms
  • Imatinib 400 mg daily (experimental, n = 532): Imatinib 400 mg orally daily
People
Kantarjian H, International STI571 CML Study Group
