Paclitaxel, Ifosfamide, and Cisplatin as Initial Salvage Chemotherapy for Germ Cell Tumors: Long-Term Follow-Up and Outcomes for Favorable- and Unfavorable-Risk Disease

Phase observationalN = 104

Population
104 patients with germ cell tumours given TIP as initial salvage after cisplatin-based chemotherapy (87 favourable and 17 unfavourable risk by MSKCC criteria; 10 treated for a second gonadal primary)
Design
Updated efficacy and long-term follow-up of patients with germ cell tumours who received TIP after cisplatin-based chemotherapy; favourable response was complete response or partial response with negative tumour markers. Risk by MSKCC criteria, with reclassification by the International Prognostic Factor Study Group (IPFSG) score. Whether the data were collected prospectively is not stated in the abstract.
