First author of the 1970 report on the structures of harringtonine, isoharringtonine and homoharringtonine, and of the 1972 report on antitumour alkaloids from Cephalotaxus harringtonia

First author of a 1970 Tetrahedron Letters paper titled as giving the structures of harringtonine, isoharringtonine and homoharringtonine, and of a 1972 Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences paper titled as describing the structure and activity of antitumour alkaloids from Cephalotaxus harringtonia. A 2017 review says the benzazepine nucleus of cephalotaxine fused to an azaspirononane unit was established by Powell and colleagues. Only the initials are given in the sources read.
