Institut Gustave Roussy, Paris; Union for International Cancer Control (UICC)

French surgical oncologist and director of the Institut Gustave Roussy from 1956 to 1982, according to Rami-Porta (2024). He developed, with colleagues, the clinical classification of anatomic tumour extent from which TNM derives, and chaired the UICC Special Committee on Clinical Stage Classification; the UICC says he later became its President.
