Malcolm F. G. Stevens

University of Nottingham (Emeritus Professor in 2023); Aston University (site of the imidazotetrazine work)

First author of the 1984 Journal of Medicinal Chemistry paper on the synthesis and chemistry of the antitumour imidazotetrazine mitozolomide and, with Richard Wheelhouse, of a 2023 review of the imidazotetrazines. The review's biography describes him as Emeritus Professor at the University of Nottingham, from whose laboratory five new molecules have entered clinical trials, and Wheelhouse's biography describes the Cancer Research Campaign group led by Stevens at Aston and Nottingham Universities.
